1st Colloquium​ “Research of the Egyptian Cultural Heritage in Slovenia”

A colloquium on the research of the Egyptian cultural heritage in Slovenia was held at the Slovene Ethnographic Museum (SEM). The event was organised by the University of Ljubljana, E-RIHS Slovenian Node, and the Slovene Ethnographic Museum and was held under the auspices of the Egyptian Embassy in Slovenia. The meeting was opened with opening addresses by Ms. Natalija Polenec, Director of Slovene Ethnographic Museum, Prof. Dr. Gregor Majdič, Rector of the University of Ljubljana, a representative of the Egyptian Embassy in Slovenia, Prof. Dr. Matija Strlič, Chair of E-RIHS Slovenian Steering Committee.

Please join us at the invited talk to be held by Dr. Abdelrazek Elnaggar, Senior Research Counsellor at the Heritage Science Lab, at University of Ljubljana, has held the invited talk at Faculty of Art on 13. April 2023 at 03.30 pm, lecture hall 325.

The title was Saint Abu Macarius Al-Asakandarani Monastery in Fayoum (Egypt): History, challanges and opportunities for haritage site managment. The lecture was in English language.

HSLL delegates Professor Dr Matija Strlič, Professor Dr Abdelrazek Elnaggar and Dr Hassan Ebeid, visited the Ain Shams University (Egypt) for a high-profile meeting with Professor Dr Mohamed Ayman Saleh, the Vice President of for Postgraduate Studies and Research, and the German delegation of Philipps-University Marburg, the Gotha Library, and the Halle Library, in the presence of H.E. Mr. Sašo Podlesnik, Ambassador of the State of Slovenia to the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the former Egyptian Minister of Antiquities, Professor Dr Mamdoh El-Damaty.
