In August Bor Kolar Bačnik, PhD student at the Heritage Science Laboratory Ljubljana (HSLL), contributed to professional development of chemistry teachers organized by the National Education Institute. Together with doc. dr. Krištof Kranjc and Aljaž Flis he delivered a presentation about chromatography. The main aim of the presentation was to highlight novel experimental approaches on how the concept of chromatography could be best explained in basic and lower-secondary schools. During the presentation Bor highlighted the use and relevance of chromatography (and chemistry in general) in heritage science and research, with practical examples. Overall, around 350 basic and lower-secondary school teachers attended the presentation across three events in Ljubljana and Maribor.
