Members of the Heritage Science Laboratory Ljubljana, including Prof. Dr. Matija Strlič, Dr. Tjaša Rijavec, Dr. Hend Mahgoub and Špela Pok, were interviewed in the science programme Ugriznimo znanost (Science Bites) on RTV Slovenija, the national TV station. The episode, which can be viewed here (31. Oct 2024), highlighted their research and expertise in the field of heritage science and provided insights into current cultural heritage projects related to paper collections and collections of contemporary heritage.
The discussion highlighted current approaches to analysing and protecting historical materials, with a focus on sustainable preventive conservation methods and modern technologies, including the technique of hyperspectral imaging. By presenting these complex processes, the team aimed to provide a better understanding of heritage science to a wider audience.

In addition, HSLL olfactory research was featured in the culture programme Kultura on 21 Nov 2024, where a short vignette was produced on the topic of capturing historic smells as carried out in the ODOTHEKA project, Emma Paolin and Prof Dr Matija Strlič were among the interviewees, as well as Dr Eva Menart from the National Museum of Slovenia.
