The title of her dissertation is “Characterisation and degradation of poly(vinyl chloride) in historical and contemporary objects”. In her work, Tjaša focused on developing characterisation methods for PVC objects, and use these to study the degradation of historical PVC. One notable aspect of her work was the creation of a damage function for PVC based on yellowing, enabling the prediction of the lifetime of transparent PVC objects from environmental variables (temperature and relative humidity) and material properties (plasticizer content and molar mass).
